Willerby

As a proud Willerby resident, I feel that we should be doing more to compete with the place-promotion strategies that can be seen on TV for Scotland, Wales and California to name a few examples. If you find Willerby on wikipedia, I think it's quite clear that it is a great place to live.

Here's some interesting information taken from Wikipedia that I feel sell Willerby really well:

As stated on a road sign, Willerby has been a community for over 1100 years.
- Willerby is a couple of miles away from THE largest village in the UK, Cottingham.
- Willerby Square is often referred to as "The Estate Agent Capital" of the area due to the overwhelming number of estate agents.

As if that isn’t enough to convince you - there are actually celebrities living here! Ian Moor (the Chris de Burgh impersonator who won the final of Stars in Their Eyes in 1999) currently resides in Willerby! Click here to see an incredible performance by Ian Moor and Mr. Chris de Burgh himself...

After about 30 seconds of research, it became apparent that there is a distinct lack of promotional posters for Willerby including Ian Moor so I have made one.  An apology for the poor effort, but it’s a start.

Please note: I’m yet to see Ian Moor casually strutting through the estate agent capital so don’t take my word as gospel. I perhaps just don’t see him because he’s living the high-life in Waitrose, basking in his fame and fortune. Prick.
